Harry writes in an email(s) to Mike Perry dated 21 Nov. 2011:
"Michael,
" I was in the 36th FBS from April 1952 thru December '52. Flew 100 missions in the F-80C. So I left
Suwon just before your uncle arrived. I have attached a copy of a picture of four of the 36th aircraft
taken up over North Korea. Perhaps you already have the picture, but if not I'll get a better copy and
forward it to you. Glad to see there is still someone interested in what we did in those days."
"My aircraft, which I am flying in the picture was 547 (Evil Eye Fleagle of Al Capp's Li'l Abner fame).
The others in the formation were Pete Carpenter in the lead, Ed Gardner #2, I was leading the
element, #3, and Glenn Ciafio #4. We never understood how the photographer was able to get
us all lined up because it was an extremely rough day. Guess he just caught us passing through
the positions."
